On Sunday April 10 Mt. Morris Fire responded to a reported structure fire at 6180 W Midtown Rd. Chief Hough arrived on scene with smoke showing from the Alpha Delta corner of the two story balloon frame residence. Firefighters from Mt. Morris Engine Co. 5702 rapidly knocked down the ensuing flames from the residence. Multiple fire Co's operated at the scene for about an hour. Leaf River Fire provided automatic aid with a tanker.
