- Mt. Morris Fire responds for a Sprayer Fire -

On June 26, 2014 the Mt. Morris Fire Protection District responded to Midtown Road for a chemical sprayer that had become entangled in the power lines and was on fire.  Firefighters were hindered by the electricity and had to wait for ComEd to arrived and disconnect the power.  With several exposure buildings in the area firefighters utilized the deck gun mounted on top of the Engine to keep the fire at bay from a safe distance.  Firefighters operated on the scene for about two hours.  No one was injured in the fire and the chemical tanks were empty posing no environmental hazard.
