At 4:12 PM Mt. Morris Fire was toned for a car fire on Hitt St. within the Village. Chief Hough arrived and assumed Command finding a well involved car sitting in the driveway of the residence. The car was a mere four feet from the residence and the fire was rapidly progressing. Heavy Rescue Co. 5747 arrived on scene and quickly brought the fire under control. Multiple Mt. Morris companies operated on the scene for approximately 25 minutes.
