- 204 W. Lincoln St - Garage Fire -

At 14:15 hrs on June 30th Mt. Morris Fire was dispatched to 204 W. Lincoln St. for a car fire in an unattached garage. Mt. Morris Engine Co. 5702 arrived on scene and found a single story wood frame garage with heavy smoke venting from the eaves. Chief Hough arrived and assumed Mt. Morris Command. After a 360 degree size up Command a MABAS Box 18 to the second alarm level. This brought the following resources to Mt. Morris: Polo responded as a RIT Co. under the direction of A/C Karrow, Oregon arrived with an Engine Co., Byron with Chief Mike Lewis and an Engine, an Engine Co. from Leaf River, Forreston had an Engine as change of quarters and Stillman had a Truck Co change of quarters.. All Co's went to work and rapidly brought the fire under control. Co's were frequently cycled through the Rehab division do to the high ambient temperatures and humidity. After salvage and overhaul was performed Co's started making up and returned to their still districts. Thanks to all the responding members of MABAS 18 for their help, Mt.
