- Mt. Morris Fire responds Mutual Aid to Oregon for a Structure Fire -
On February 12, 2014 the Mt. Morris Fire Protection District was requested for MABAS Box 36 to the Second Alarm Level for a Structure Fire at 3056 N. Blackhawk Rd, in Oregon. Mt. Morris was due with an Engine for Change of Quarters. While our Engine was enroute Oregon Command requested that it respond directly to the scene instead. Oregon Command requested a Third Alarm which sent our Tender to the scene and A special request was made for a Mt. Morris Chief to respond as well. Firefighters operated on the scene for several hours. The home was tragically a complete loss. No one was injured in the fire.
