- Mt. Morris Fire responds to 5655 N. Mt. Morris Rd. for a Structure Fire


On December 21, 2016 the Mt. Morris Fire Protection District responded to 5655 N. Mt. Morris Rd., for a structure fire.  When Chief Hough arrived he requested MABAS Box 12 to the Second Alarm Level.   Firefighters quickly knocked down the fire on the exterior of the residence.  The fire on the interior was burning through voids and other openings in the home.  Firefighters struggled to get ahead of the fire.  The following Districts were on scene to assist Mt. Morris: Byron, Forreston, German Valley, Leaf River, Oregon, Polo, Stillman and Win-Bur-Sew Fire District's.  Advance Ambulance and Polo Fire stood by at the Mt. Morris Firehouse to handle any alarms that may come in while we were fighting the fire.  Mt. Morris Fire would like to thank our neighbors both near and far for their hard work and assistance at the fire.
