- Mt. Morris Fire responds to 309 W. Center St. for a Structure Fire

On December 14, 2016 the Mt. Morris Fire Protection District responded to 309 W. Center St., for a report of a space heater on fire in a bedroom.  When firefighters arrived they found a two story home with smoke showing.  Firefighters quickly brought the fire under control.  Firefighters used salvage vaccums and tarps to help minimize the damage from water.  Mt. Morris would like to thank the Byron, Oregon and Polo Fire District's for their assistance that night.
