- Mt. Morris Fire responds to 10 W. Hitt St. for a Garage Fire -

On October 28, 2014 the Mt. Morris Fire Protection District responded to 10 W. Hitt St. for a garage fire.  Companies arrived on scene to find a two car detached garage fully involved very close to the house.  Firefighters utilized the deck gun mounted on top of the Engine to keep the fire at bay while firefighters stretched a hoseline.  Firefighters operated on the scene for about two hours.  No one was injured in the fire.  Mt. Morris would like to thank the Byron, Oregon and Polo Fire Districts for thier help today.
