- Mt. Morris Fire Responds to 208 N. Reynolds for a Structure Fire -


On January 2nd, 2008 Mt. Morris Fire and Ambulance responded to a reported structure fire at 208 N. Reynolds Ave in the Village. A neighbor reported flames and smoke coming from a residence at Reynolds Ave & First St. Chief Hough arrived on scene and assumed Command on a 1-½ story wood frame with heavy smoke venting from the eaves and windows. Mt. Morris Fire immediately requested a second alarm MABAS Box 12. Firefighters had the fire under control in just under an hour. Fire Co’s remained on scene for a few hours performing extensive overhaul to ensure the fire was extinguished. The home received approximately $50,000 worth of damage to its contents and structure. No one was home at the time of the fire. Byron, Dixon Rural, Forreston, Oregon, Polo and Stillman Valley Fire Departments assisted Mt. Morris at the scene. German Valley, Leaf River and Stillman covered Mt. Morris’s empty firehouse. Mt.
